Unbound Mind - Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Christians with their twisted faith will call for you to come
Join them in their horrid fates where God's people belong
Ask thy will for it be done by the lusting of our souls
Forgive thyself with righteousness and give the flock a show

Hear my words and free your mind from the tales you were told
There is no place that you can hide your dirty sullied soul
Angels cried when foretold in Heaven we would arrive
Their weeping was for God himself in light of all mankind

Fear not our Lord who gives us love to shine with him so bright
It is the monster that speaks the word who leads us from His light
Preachers tell their tales of woe with an agenda on their minds
Money brings the wealth to them from foolish mortal pride

In truth we must all live our lives- For this is God's true plan
So keep your mind free from fear- Beware of preacher man

Poet's Notes about The Poem

I wrote this during my transition of Faith; To Agnostic. A angry write with a touch of uncertainty. It is very hard to break the mindset of religion. This is not a great poem. I only published it for those who can relate.
