Uncertainty Poem by soren Barrett

Uncertainty

Uncertainty immersed in fear, initially does appear as a small sprout
It germinates a tear. Like a spear that pierces, hemorrhaging doubt

Trepidation rends my breast

A sentinel so near, not a seer, unsure how things will turn out
Not clear where destiny will steer, I quake and shake and shout

Panic builds its nest

Wishing it to disappear, yet still it does adhere, ignorant of what it's about
From its path so shear, I attempt to veer, hoping paranoia to rout

Still on a quest

Afraid to hear, or peer in a mirror, it hovers and does tout
How dear is our last year, when one will be worn out

Now I can rest
