Secrets, secrets, hidden in these walls,
I've put up to protect myself... but now they fall.
Nobody sees, nobody knows, the secrets they can't be exposed,
They must stay hidden, trapped, unexposed, enclosed!
The fear is burning and building inside,
All of my emotions glide and collide.
One substance can take it all away, but is it really gone, I mean how long does it stay?
Pressure from family and friends to do great,
But what if I can't... I'm just a worthless mistake!
The thoughts they're so loud I cannot think,
I take a drink and another... they slowly start to sink.
I know the feeling 'aint gonna' last but I don't care,
I can't handle everything that even got me there.
Everyone Sees, everyone knows, my secrets are somewhat exposed,
I guess I couldn't keep them forever enclosed...
An insightful piece of poetry well articulated and nicely penned in good rhyme scheme with conviction. Thanks for sharing Zara.
