Under The Shade Of The Olive Trees Poem by RIC BASTASA

Under The Shade Of The Olive Trees

tired of the race
i let the wind pass by my shoulder

i sit under the olive tree
and watch what you cannot see

you wonder why the earth sounds
less than what the stone speaks

i am tired of the race
and i let the winds pass by me

i am happier now under the shade
of the olive trees.
