Underneath The Glory And Fame Poem by Tabitha Christie

Underneath The Glory And Fame

He’s a heavy weight champion boxer
He has all the glory and all the fame
But what you don’t know is that
His wife left him because she thought their marriage was just a game

She thought that he didn’t care about her
She took their only child with her and
All of it seemed so fast
It all seems like a blur
When he is in the ring, he’s just not in it for the fight
He is in it for the fight for the right of his little baby boy that misses his daddy

He constantly tells himself
“What have I done, what has my life become”
But each time he steps in that ring,
He is fighting a battle for the custody of his son

It doesn’t matter about the glory or the fame that he holds
He will never give up trying
Because for the moment that he finally gets to hold his son again..
That is when the true gold of love starts shining.
