Undress Me - Poem by Santos Santiago

Undress my thoughts
let me stand naked
in your mind

Unravel me!

reveal secrets
only you and I
will share

Dare to explore!

Reach into the depths
of my psyche
with care
and there
you will find me
waiting for you

As you remain distant
I invite you to explore

I will open the door
and allow you entrance,
guiding you through
the pathways
of my past,
leading you
to thoughts
for our future,
stay with me here
in this present

I wont offer false hopes!

I will stand naked,
let your perception
focus clearly
in the true me

All facade
I will put aside,
my heart is waiting
for you

Waiting for you

yes you!

for my true
love to arrive

My heart
has traveled
a distance

It has lived
false hopes
and promises

It traces back it steps
to find
foot steps unkempt

But yours
seem heaven sent

Even your fingertips
leave traces
imprinted within
this heart that beats
within me

Your fragrance
is the air I breathe,
Iknow
and believe
I am alive

You have unknowingly
fulfilled me

Your voice is the music
for my soul,
it plays within,
my heart dances
to your melody

So unravel me!

I extend my hand,
the one which
has traveled
roads lonely

But you have
been the only
one in so long
that cantruly
grasp me

From this day forward
I want to change I for we

Come unravel me!

Undress my thoughts
let me stand naked
in your mind
and you will find
that the one
that loves you
has sent
his invitation

Beauty and romance in its simplest form. I wish that I could say my heart is as open as the speaker's here. (Report)Reply
