Uneven Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Uneven

One more jewel on the mantle
The fire blazes
Agates, silver, embroidery
All the chairs quiet like a mouse
Time pieces with smiles
Old money like a dirty rag

She waits for her dream
Fate operates with choice
Portrait of the wavering soul
Smooth bronze mirror
No assurance
Everything uneven

Uneven
