I am blocked
my honest promises
forever now broken
thinking furiously,
that familiar headache is coming back
mauling my conscience
I no longer feel the breeze
everything tastes the same
and at the same time
scattered old demons
make their way back
they snicker and linger around me
will someone let me know
how I got in this hole,
I've seen it all before,
a sigh away from insanity
speaking too much profanity,
my only companions
are my ill thoughts
and suddenly, ringing screams!
No, shake up, wake up,
another bad dream
leaving me gasping
and longing for the essence
of your comforting presence.
