Uninvited Guest Poem by Barbara Nixon

Uninvited Guest

Rating: 4.0

A guest uninvited
holds residence in the temple
crept silently with feline stealth
as it slid between the mantel.

****

Invisibile to eye or ear,
a ferocious battle thus ensued
multitudes of scarlet ninjas
their purpose to defend
curtail the brazen interloper,
from his merciless, parasitic ends.

****

Emotions polar and extreme.
callous nature of the beast,
like a joker with his menacing grin
on the turmoil he doth feast.
****
But the banquet it is fleeting
scarlet ninjas imbued with cosmic light
their protector and eternal friend
will ensure victory in the fight.
