Unique Song
The notes bounced, announced a feeling,
That threw me off, then on balance and in more positions.
Of which I was cautious of all.
Yet I would yearn about some vagary and dismiss it,
Then do that about some other vagary and dismiss that.
Yet these erratic notes that hit me strong,
Told me my soul didn’t belong.
This composer’s song got worse and worse,
Even though I followed his notes and verse,
Straining more now,
Wouldn’t he rescue me from my malaise.
But no, he wouldn’t,
Because his song was not just his song.
It could be anybody’s special song, if they just pondered upon it for long.
