Unknowing Beings Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Unknowing Beings

This train of life carries us into depths
of one another's souls through death.

We travel through life as unknowing beings,
learning and experiencing as we live each
moment individually.

Finding our way, usually by accident, trying
to attain goals we wish to accomplish.

Strife, turmoil, death, bitterness all appear
unsolicited, unwanted, but filling our lives
nonetheless.

Somehow most of us deal with it directly or
indirectly, living through it all without any
guidance.

Just doing the best we can with what we have
and knowing from our past experiences.

Although each one is different than the last,
throwing us a curve when we least expect it.
