Unknown Poem by Kemberly Semana Penton

Unknown

Rating: 4.5

You and I were on the edge of the unknown
Bridging distance only through our phone,
Funny to think we spent hours in our world
In truth, mouth could not even utter a word.

But please do not second guess your heart
To me, you have always played a part,
Would you mind listening to my voice?
If you're left with nothing but a choice.

Just to let you know in a moment of time
I will be yours and you will be mine
So wait, wait for time flies like a dove,
Don't worry, I knew this is real love.

From nothing we both started to unveil
Crossed Pacific ocean, you tried to sail,
With a hope to turn unknown into reality
Took the voyage while others say it's folly.

And so huge waves crashed the boat
You were lost and dead bodies float,
Oh, I wonder if we just stayed on phone
I would be glad now even in unknown.
