Unrequited Love! Poem by Sanji-Paul Arvind

Unrequited Love!

If only my heart could speak,
It would chatter of your joy every week.
If only my mind had a hand to write,
I'd pen my feelings, day and night.

All the dreams of you, a fresh start,
I'd chase them with all my heart.
As long as I'm here on this earth,
Your memories will haunt me till my last breath.

There's nothing on this earth so strong,
That can lessen my love's song.
I'm not a salesman making a pitch,
You always seem to switch.

I am a lover, and I can only propose,
Knowing well you'll keep your doors closed.
All my feelings I try to compose,
Yet you shut away and my heart implodes.

I loved you, as my mind did portray,
No, not you, but the one who led me astray.
With true emotions, I was played,
Now with a tarnished name, I've been displayed.
