Until I See Him Again Poem by Edwina Reizer

Until I See Him Again

There's a clock on my wall
keeping time every day.
I watch the hands movin' slow
playin' games as they say.'
You'll have to wait a little longer,
be a little stronger
until you see him again.

There's a candle in my room
that I light every day.
I see the flame slowly flicker slowly,
burnin' out, going away.
I'll have to close my eyelids longer,
be a little stronger
until I see him again.

*** If I leave this room will I miss him
just as much?
Is there somewhere else I can go
to feel his touch?
Should I just sit still,
let the time go by?
Or should I light another candle
or catch a firefly?

I've waited babe much too long.
I'm thinkin' this thing might turn out wrong.
Can't I wait a little bit longer
be a little bit stronger
until I see him again?
Can't I wait a little bit longer,
be a little bit stronger
until I see him again?

REPEAT *** to the end.
