Until Our Faith Is Sight Poem by Isadora Quagmire

Until Our Faith Is Sight

Fear not this world's shadows deep,
Filled with dread and sadness,
There comes a day when all shall joyful leap,
When all sorrow shall fail to gladness,
When our Lord of Life will return.

Until that day wait through these shadows,
For they are only passing things,
They shall one day fail to meadows,
Where we shall walk with our King of kings
And we shall no longer yearn.

Remember, our strength is nothing,
We are too weak to hold on,
God does not need anything,
We were rescued by his son,
He will hold onto us.

His hand shall not fail,
Though we are lost in this life's dark night,
He shall wrap us in his wings amidst the gale,
Until our faith is sight,
We simply must in Him trust.
