Untouchable Enemy Poem by merna ibrahim

Untouchable Enemy

Surely, I am the most implacable enemy for the mankind.
I am able to devastate nations and leave nothing behind.

I give birth to retardation, strife and destruction.
I kill dreams, ambitions, creativity and production.

When I haunt a place, I demolish minds and take lives.
As long as awareness and education are asleep, I'll survive.

I am a dangerous and a malignant social disease.
I detest people who make knowledge and culture increase.

I am sharper than millions of daggers and swords.
I am used by the tyrants and the unjust lords.

I enjoy seeing misleading media tearing minds down!
Craftily, it persuades people that the sun is brown!

I think it is very clear now who I am.
I'm ignorance, beware of me Sir and Ma'am!
