Unwavering Faith Poem by Joshua Mccoy

Unwavering Faith

John holds connie at his side like the sun will burn out when she departs. His world of happiness only became unlocked after her goddess like footsteps appeared at the gate and used her sweet voice to drown out the sorrow and darkness that once resided there.

John has everything a man could ever want with connie offering him the world on a silver platter but a tainted thunderbolt has struck this land of paradise and now a glittery green virus corrupts;
Seeping into everything in the shape of a green puddle,
Spreading wider by the second.
It’s acid like poison,
Torturing a lush valley to die a slow and painful droopy death

Another woman appears at the gate of john’s heart and has seeped deeply within his fountain of fondness and desire
And now what is john to do?
