Your words kill me slowly,
Caressing my battered soul,
Yet torturing my aching heart,
But you don’t know,
Because you and me
Would be to hard to contemplate,
We’re such opposites,
You and me,
You’re so handsome,
Strong and yet gentle,
Caring and kind,
And me,

So different,
Shunned by others,
Because I don’t meet their standards,
Of how to look,
Of how to act,
Of how to dress,
Of how to laugh,
Unworthy of you,
Don’t think I don’t get it,
Because you and me
Just weren’t meant to be,
And even if it kills me,
I’ll let go….
