Unworthy Of Trust Poem by Concetta Salter

Unworthy Of Trust

I hope you know that I’m no fool.
Cause no, I will not fall for you.
I’m sorry does not cut the cake.
I hope you know your way to late.
You try to say it’s in the past.
But so are you, and that’s exact.
It’s been five years, and now you’re here.
And you still think I somehow care.
But no I don’t, and never will.
When I see you I want to kill.
You’ve no idea the pain you caused.
And all this time it’s been your fault.
I will not fall for no more tricks.
Just seeing you now makes me sick.
There’s nothing you can say or do.
I will not start to talk to you.
You had your chance to gain my trust.
But no, you did not keep in touch.
You’ve made your choice and so have I.
There are no words, except goodbye.
