Up Into The Gilded Dawn I Rise* Poem by Mohammad Younus

Up Into The Gilded Dawn I Rise*

Up into the gilded dawn I rise,
Soft footsteps echo on hushed stairways,
The breath of morning, cool and still,
Weaves through the hush of waking days.
A fragile light, like whispered hope,
Unfurls its wings across the skies,
And in its glow, the world takes shape—
A canvas brushed with golden dyes.

The first lone bird lifts its voice in song,
A silver note upon the air,
A gentle call to rouse the world—
A hymn so pure, so light, so rare.
Its melody, a thread of dawn,
Unspools the silence, soft and clear,
A beacon for the sleeping earth,
To draw the dreaming ever near.

The heavens thread a sacred tune,
A symphony of time and space,
Each note a whisper from the stars,
Each sound adorned with boundless grace.
The constellations hum in praise,
Their ancient voices, faint yet true,
A chorus born of endless night,
Now fading as the day breaks through.

The golden tide of day unfurls,
A chorus swells from earth and sky,
Light spills in waves upon the hills,
As night's last embers drift and die.
The sun ascends, a blazing crown,
Its rays a tapestry of fire,
Igniting fields and forests wide,
With warmth and life to inspire.

The trees sway soft in measured time,
The rivers hum, the grasses sigh,
A cosmic rhythm guides the dance—
A song no heart can e'er deny.
The wind, a bard of whispered tales,
Carries secrets through the leaves,
While flowers bloom in quiet awe,
Their petals woven in the breeze.

Yet as the stars reclaim their place,
A softer melody is spun—
The hush of dusk, the breath of dreams,
A sacred rhythm never done.
The moon, a lantern in the dark,
Casts silver threads upon the streams,
And in its glow, the world finds rest,
Enveloped in the realm of dreams.

So rise I still, through dawn and dusk,
A traveler 'twixt night and day,
To hear the songs the heavens sing,
And in their echoes, find my way.
For in this dance of light and dark,
Of waking hours and dreams untold,
I find the pulse of life itself—
A story vast, a heart of gold.
