Upon The Worshipful Face Poem by james watkin

Upon The Worshipful Face

Upon the worshipful face
Of the waters, Nile
Turns Rameses blind, to the red
Of retribution's bile.

As stiffened, leaning into
What's hymned thereabout
Confirmed likewise deaf, to hailings'
Wrath of drowning out.

"A jealous God am I", threat
Which His servant clears:
Man, kiss not creation before
Praise, Creator hears.
