Upon Waking, I Had Hoped To See Poem by Mohammad Younus

Upon Waking, I Had Hoped To See

Upon waking, I had hoped to see,
The Hidden Secret in a new light,
In the divine manifestation, I desired,
To behold it in hues of light and music

But alas, the dawn broke in shades of grey,
And the secret remained shrouded,
As it had stayed in the mists of mystery,
Where I lay awaiting the day of awareness,
When I would perceive the mystic truth:
Knowing the Secret in itself is a secret desire,
Of the Secret Hidden, no one can claim.

By the grace of the Secret Hidden,
Will bring to light The Hidden Secret,
Which is beyond my might to know.
And in that moment, I would behold,
The divine manifestation, in a new mold.
Maybe, in honest rich colours or rare ones.
The secret would reveal itself, and I'd know,
My True Essence, the Hidden Secret!
With the answers to my questions,
And the quest for truth, I'll get peace,
And in that peace, I would find my secret.
