Upon Your Aging And Fixed Feet Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Upon Your Aging And Fixed Feet

I am not 'this' that you wish.
A novelty you expect,
As an exception to go unchanged.

Nothing on Earth that the Earth births,
Remains the same.
Rain nourishes!

And if the blooming done that I do,
Should upset you and your perceptions...
I can only wish you the best of dust collected,
Upon your aging and fixed feet.

I live to do to get done on each stage of life,
That welcomes my efforts to grow.
I wish to participate not contemplate life.
