Looking for a place
where no one knows
what we have (not) done
where we will not
be judged for
our mistakes
and our past
Looking for a place
where envy is forbidden
and rumors don't exist
where hatred or hostility
could never survive
Looking for a place
where love and smiles
are the units of currency
Looking for a place
where everyone is free
Looking
Still looking
Looking for a place where love and smiles are the units of currency- - - - - - still looking yes these are utopian ideals........ but we shall not resignate. as we are able to do in our power we hve to struggle to make this a better world...... thank you dear poet. tony
Hmm, sweet words. I will join you in your quest to be a citizen of Utopia. In the words of Damian Marley, Got to keep on walking, on the road to Zion.
Utopia is a vexed question. The classic utopias written by Renaissance scholars usually had strict laws, dictatorial governments and rigid societal roles. That's how order was maintained so society could run smoothly. The world you want is closer to Rabelais's ABBEY OF THELEME, which has the motto, Do as you please, so long as your pleasure hurts no one. But getting to the Abbey takes a long, perilous sea-voyage.
