Uv Rays Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Uv Rays

Sun's bright light, a hidden guest,
Energy unseen, it takes its test.
Past purple bright, it softly streams,
In tiny waves, like waking dreams.

UVA, the gentle friend,
Makes skin grow old, without an end.
Wrinkles form, a story told,
As UVA, its tale unfolds.

UVB, with fiery touch,
Sunburn's sting, it brings so much.
It hurts our skin, a damage deep,
Secrets that our cells do keep.

UVC, the shortest rays,
The sky's shield keeps it far away.
Our blanket blue, a watchful guard,
Protects us all, it's not too hard.

But UV's touch can do some good,
Help our bodies, understood.
Vitamin D, a healthy gleam,
Like sunshine in a waking dream.

Yet risks are there, a warning sign,
From burns that sting, to lines that twine.
Eyes can hurt, and skin can fade,
If too much sun has been displayed.

Still, in lamps and water's flow,
UV's power helps us know.
It cleans and heals, a helping hand,
Protecting us across the land.
