Vain Speech Poem by Christian Eliab Ratnam

Vain Speech

Rating: 5.0

Is there no compassion?
In this world which speaks of passion.
Is there no kindness?
In this world which speaks of goodness.

The world is filled with iniquity,
Though it speaks of civility.
The world a home of criminals,
Though it speaks highly of officials.

No wonder the world’s a prison,
From where there is no escape.
And if a man can’t give a reason,
He is bound by death’s never ending tape!

So very deep. Outstanding. I too can see through your eyes your deep religous beliefs. Regards Patricia
