Vasco Da Gama Pillar Poem by Edwin Owade

Vasco Da Gama Pillar

Rating: 5.0

Gentle breeze of the coastal winds,
Wafting the forgotten,
From far, soothing whispers of lost reality,
With its melodious tunes of turbulent waves;
Vividly,
Evoking a volcano of sweet nostalgia,
From the west the orange rays,
Illuminate,
Creatures deeply submerged;
Away from the pier towards the pillar,
Hands intertwined in the silvery sandy beach,
So fresh and stale are the endless reminiscent,
Beneath, you left a hole,
A void so irreplaceable,
Now alone eating this savory pie of loneliness,
Waiting for your cute and charming smile,
Pure and natural a being so rare,
Till then,
I'm here facing Vasco Da Gama pillar,
Waiting for that kiss,
That one kiss for old time's sake.
