Blue Horizon Poem by Edwin Owade

Blue Horizon

Rating: 5.0

Away drifting,
Like a boat by the sea,
Dancing upon the face of the waters.
From the deep sea of my heart,
To the shores of my soul.

Elusive you became,
Like a goldfish beneath,
My net porous, my bait dead.
Thoughts of you kill,
Enslaved by your graceful charm.

My heart cries, my soul yearns,
For your life-giving presence,
To feel you like the air of the sea.
The life-giving and warm air,
From this shackles of loneliness

To the deep corners of my heart.
