Venus The Fly Trap Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Venus The Fly Trap

Her pretty leaves are patiently waiting to seize
the opportunity to be a hostess to a guest
She'll greet you with a big enthusiastic squeeze
Stay a while… She'll do her very best to impress

Don't be shy…relax, recline, and get comfortable
You will want to stay when anxiety fades away
You will no longer want to change your mind...
The bars on the closing door suggest you stay

Your presence gets her digestive juices flowing...
You are most agreeable to her taste…not bland
She is delighted with your palatable sweetness
You were a pleasurable treat… just as she planned
