Verbal Not Verbatim Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Verbal Not Verbatim

Rating: 3.0

Hostility
is
in a poem
is in one's
convictions
a clarifying and
rather edifying way
of composing worth and
wording! Just proud of being
a physically pleasing husk and so
untouchable and you; you know what!
Feed to all each soul, your demands
for us; to be painted
with 'your' ideals?
And why is this?
Oh! We already have
declined 'your ideas' about
the journey that our lifetime should
take us on! You so much less that lenient
idealist! An epitaph might exist to be read by
anyone but you! 'Died in Vain Independently'
as you and you only did not comprehend
for you cannot comprehend the profound
depths of your condescension! Judgement
is a lazy response. As lazy as a purring pair
of lions; extinctions while sunbathing!
Louder now; the purring pair is near
for Africa is dying, a golden truck
of purring lions, extinctions; on their way
to the zoo and in the cages with the entire lot of you!
Imagine that! Now imagine this! That the Rebellion here is
yet another restricting fashion! Hypocrisy be
Goddamned! Lean towards all extremes!
Learn how to be That Balancing Human!
To say to every other person
my brothers and sisters
let's find common ground!
On every issue across this nation!
'Organize or Die', and pass along these words!
All that is written ever is written within
"Our Last Agenda"!
Where did I; get stuck
On that cross?
