Very Important Day

That was the very important day,
When I needed you the most,
But you didn't come,
Though I waited for you long,
Eventually I gave up,
My pain and suffering started from that time,
It never diminished.
Today you have come,
But it is needless,
I am in dire straits
And waiting for death,
Nothing can rescue me now
From this disastrous condition.
