Violet's Flight Poem by Violet Val

Violet's Flight

Rating: 5.0

I find myself here again
At the edge of this cliff
Again

I nod to the rocks below
They extend sharply as if to mimic welcoming arms
They beckon a warm encounter

The sun is warm, the sand is white
I proceed to undo the strings
Of the wings that I strapped to myself
With benevolence as a child

Tied so tight

Glancing again at what could be my final resting place

They fall

Unburdened are my shoulders

Looking up at Father Sun
I allow my covering to fall

Embracing the wind I am seduced
In flight
I am freed

Resting now
Cradled deep in the rock
I lay quiet with brown eyes open

I return to Mother Nature
Leaving behind my stain on the sand

Another amazing POEME NOIR - Val. Life can be hard and sometimes we feel like leaving it all behind and just sail off a cliff into oblivion. I trust you have strength in your present circumstances you are much too too precious to end it all. You know you have me as a FRIEND - JOHN

To escape life we must blind the mind to escape feeling. To escape both we must escape choice. Very deep piece.
