Virtues Are Contagious Poem by Daya Nandan

Virtues are contagious, that is a fact,
People learn and practice from shown virtuous acts,
All brave men once took shed in another man's courage,
We must practice virtues for more people we will encourage,

Acts of morality, nobility, courage, kindness and honor,
To build a better society that is kinder and stronger,
Show people kindness, one act of kindness at a time,
Show them how simple acts can make people's lives fine,

A kind man is kind because people were kind to him,
A criminal is bad because his faith in humanity is dim,
If people are shown hatred, cruelty and discrimination,
They will become people who hate the people of a nation,

It all depends on how we are influenced in this life,
That determines if we become good or a criminal with a knife,
For our experiences builds our character be it good or bad,
Hence, set examples of kindness that make good people glad,

Good virtue is like muscle, the more we practice the more we gain,
People follow good examples they have analyzed in their brain,
Show good virtues to people regardless of religion and race,
Show them virtues are lessons in life that they should embrace!
