ടുസ്സാനില്‍ വിഷു (Vishu in Tucson, Arizona, USA)
വിഷുപ്പൂക്കളില്ല, വിഷുവിനെന്തര്‍ത്ഥം
വിഷമിച്ചിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു
വിഷുദിനം വന്നു വിദൂരമാം ടുസ്സാനില്‍
വിരസത മാറ്റുവാന്‍ പൂക്കള്‍ വാങ്ങി
വിഷുക്കണിവെച്ച് പുറത്തേക്ക് നോക്കുമ്പോള്‍
വിഷുവതാ പൂത്തുനില്‍ക്കുന്നു ചുറ്റും
മേട്ടിലും കുന്നിലും താഴ്വരച്ചോട്ടിലും
പാലോവെര്‍ഡെകള്‍ പൂത്തുനില്പു
നീലമലകളെ പുല്കി ലസിക്കുന്ന
ടുസ്സാനെ മഞ്ഞയുടുപ്പിടീച്ച്
സൂര്യന് മേഷത്തില്‍ അശ്വിനീസംഗമം
കേരളാഘോഷം വിശേഷം വിഷു
വിണ്ണില്‍ നടക്കുമീ ഉത്സവം ആഗോള-
സംഭവം നാമതറീയുന്നീല
കാറ്റിലും മണ്ണിലും വിഷുവുണ്ട്
കൂടാതെ അശ്വതീസൂര്യന്മാരെല്ലാര്‍ക്കുമുണ്ട്
നാട്ടിലായാലും മറുനാട്ടിലായാലും
പ്രകൃതി വിഷുക്കണി വെച്ച‍ിരിക്കും
പാലോവെര്‍ഡെയും വിഷുക്കണിക്കൊന്നയും
പെറ്റമ്മ പ്രകൃതിക്ക് മക്കള്‍ മാത്രം
ഇവിടെ ടുസ്സാനില്‍ വിഷുവിതാ വന്നല്ലൊ
പാലോവെര്‍ഡെകള്‍ ഒത്തിരി പൂത്തല്ലൊ
വിഷുപ്പൂക്കളില്ല, വിഷുവിനെന്തര്‍ത്ഥം
വിഷമം തീര്‍ത്തെന്റെ പൂക്കള്‍ ചിരിച്ചല്ലൊ!
Vishu is a festival of Crakkers or Flowers....... നീലമലകളെ പുല്കി ലസിക്കുന്ന ടുസ്സാനെ മഞ്ഞയുടുപ്പിടീച്ച്
Yes, Nature arranges a feast to the eye with the yellow flowers every where during this season of Vishu! So your Vishu in Arizona became a visual feast with the flowers of paloveres and your regret over the absence of Vishu konna got compensated by the yellowish tinge of those flowers! As usual, your Malayalam poems are a joy to read!

Sir, The language of flowers is universal, no doubt. But, it is the nature's skill to bloom the equivalent of kanikkonna in Tucson, that is really wonderful. Beautiful poem on nature and its intrigues.10+
