Visionary Poem by Govind Ramakrishnan

Visionary

a prognosticator
well ahead of the times
perceived to be a maverick
often branded as a looney bin
capable of ignoring the dull past
even contemptuous of the present
constantly wanting to date the future

Govind, not bad. Got a few questions: looney, not looney bin, a person can't be a bin. Also did you intend a double-meaning for date? In American English, date can mean taking someone out for dinner or a movie, courting. I rather enjoy that idea.
