Visiting Homeland Poem by Rm. Shanmugam Chettiar

Visiting Homeland

When I earn bread in a foreign kingdom
I feel that I am held as an outcast.
I live with that consciousness all through out.
No amount of luxury can wipe that plague.
To escape from that vicissitudes for a while
I make visit to my hometown now and then
To show my people how big I’ve grown
And enjoy the chivalry that I get.
