Voices from long ago call echo in dreams
Memories of childhood, joyous, sweet, innocent
Bright golden summers seemed never-ending
Happiness reigned, days so rich with love
Family supporting, encouraging, guiding the way
Parents and brother long gone, grave deep.
Burdened with old age, anthric bones, blood pressure
Alone, difficulty walking, time cruelly speeded up,
Destination the grave coming ever closer.
Throughout life sought meaning and truth
Found the blue planet like single grain of sand
Lost within desert of stars expanding outwards
Away into eternal space, limit unknown,
While wondering existence of a loving God.
