Void Against Free Will Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Void Against Free Will

Looking into a void of life, seeing all moments of
sorrow and sadness, its silence growing and ex-
panding within this empty and abandoned heart.

No more thrills or excitement, nothing is important
any more, wanting only for these tears to stop,
freeing me from the grief.

Holding me in this void against my will, candles
have all been blown out by an invisible source that
will not show itself.

Feelings and emotions shaking inside what used to
be my heart and now is no more because whatever it
is hides itself away.
