You say I can do better, better than you
And you say I can find a way to make it feel true
You say that you're not worth it and I should walk away
You say I should save my tears for another day
You say I can't be this foolish and impossibly difficult
And you say that this path will end will a bad result
But sometimes you lie, because you try to protect
But usually the danger just seems to reflect
And if you're not worth it, or even tolerable
Then how come this time I felt so vulnerable
