Vultures and Hyenas
Yes was born in Iran
-my life line is Iran
-roots, culture of Iran
But do love Syria
-we have been connected
-history to blood to our faith
-…as well as literature…
-yes…Obeid Zakani
-one of our best poets
-comes from Aleppo, Damascus
-somewhere there, all the same…
Syrians and myself
-are not but brothers
-I love my siblings
Do not care who governs
-to me all the killers, bloodshed
-in that land, anywhere
-mean my foe, enemy, vampire
It can be USA to Russia
-Britain, Iran to Canada
-or Turkey, Israel, you name it
Let us give peace a chance
-let us love, care and help; and expand
-let us make a barter to give love, get back care
-not bullet and tear, not drone, homelessness
Honesty, sympathy, empathy are must be
-when we talk of the man's dignity, humanity
Whoever, whatever, all of the
-armed forces, men-women
-wild-looking-bearded or well-shaved
-over there in open; or hidden behind walls
-who kill and cause people's homelessness
-are the beasts, hyenas and vultures,
-their fight is over corpse of fallen Syria
