Wait For Paris To Bleed - Poem by Tim Labbe

Tormented Tuileries Garden
Manicured sorrow conceals agony
Under umbrellas of suspicion

Wait for Paris to Bleed

Hymne a l`amour's, Piaf
On vacant graveyard bench
Vainly awaits Marcel's return

Wait for Paris to Bleed

The gay city thrashes
Labyrinths squirm uneasy
A faceless bête noire

Wait for Paris to Bleed

Arc de Triomphe crumbles
Eternal flame's finite gasp
Unity divided by barbaric horrors

Wait for Paris to Bleed

Fragile tears burn
Humanities gloom thickens
Beacons extinguish their light

Wait for Paris to Bleed

Darken clouds whisk above
Turmoil seeks turmoil
Divided, the world falls

Wait for Paris to Bleed?

We are Paris.

Vive la France
