Waiting Poem by Wynand Johannes Louw

Waiting

Rating: 5.0

Standing on his knees,
waiting for life to strike
that last fatal blow,
to sether his head
from his shoulders:

Waiting for life to come
and finally release him
from his prison of pain
in this realm, this part of life.

Waiting...hoping…dreaming,
that someday soon
the day will come again,
and he'll be able to fly away
into the brightest sun...
the bluest sky...
the whitest cloud...

waiting...dreaming...hoping...
someday soon, maybe
