' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' 'Waiting For Her Unlit Cigarette To Be Lit(For Scarlett) - Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Her eyes prowled
across the crowded room

her interest pouncing
like a panther

upon the man
who had just entered

'...well you walked in to the party...
like you were walking into a yacht...'

Carly Simon's voice
acting as a soundtrack

to his every
movement.

'Mmmmmm! '
she mmmmmm'd

humming to herself
Rodgers & Hammerstein's

SOME ENCHANTED EVENING
(corny as it may seem)

'Grrr! '
she growled

as she padded
stealthily across the floor

'Hi handsome! '
she made herself

known to him

waiting for her unlit
cigarette to be lit.

Her scarlet smile
lighting up her face.

'God, but I could just
...eat you...up! '

Oh, Love, this is just too delicious for words! So...some enchanted evening, I may meet a stranger....across a crowded room?

Thank you for the pure pleasure reading your mind gives me! !
