Waiting For Love Poem by Chris Jibero

Waiting For Love

Rating: 5.0

Goose pimples planting hand
Your evocative musical voice is
A spell cast on me by providence
That advertises your inner splendour
As though my ears were uncircumcised
And follows me like my shadow
That reminds me that life is for two
To drink and savour from one cup
In unity as vintage wine for communion

I will keep imbibing this distilled
Spirit that is brewed in your bosom
Transmitted from your mouth
Dispensed via a talking pipe
And relished by my soul
To keep me sane till we meet again
To sign and seal this mouth-watering deal
Just you and I without witness
Until then, may I in the drunken stupor
Of your adoration garden remain
May the hangover of your radiant ravishing
Beauty never clear from my dreamy eyes
And may I never be unhinged from the frame
Of your heart.
