Waiting for the morning star to rise,
As sunlight draws near.
The sun begins its steady climb,
From the heavens' far frontier.
From the east, the light will break,
As softly, night begins to fade.
While to the west, the moon lies low,
Its quiet vigil laid.
Waiting as dawn paints the sky,
Understanding darkness will pass by.
Thoughts linger on that silver glow,
As I wait for sunlight's show.
Darkness to light—a faithful turn,
Life's hopeful view in hues that burn.
Watching each illuminating sight,
The sun immerses the world in light.
