Waiting To Be Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Waiting To Be

I drew the animals
of my fear

on the cave walls

so I could hold them

and no more be afraid.

My love roamed
the countryside

huge and gentle

the Season of You

the Age of Friendliness
slowly turning to

the Time of Love

and yet
centuries
seperated us

until again
the sunlight of you

touches my eyes

waiting to be

discovered

and

discover
