Walking On Lies Poem by Laura arwen

Walking On Lies

The lies are
easy to say
because they excuse
everything
After you tell
the first lie
you no more
stop
It is a
vicious circle that
you are obliged
to attend
The lies make
the glory and
the happiness of
some people
The lies are
the perfect mask
of your real
identity
The lies are
a protective attempt
and a desperate
need of attention
The lies aren't
wrong but abuse
it is idiotic
The lies open
and close many
doors
It would be
wise to reject
the lies
They penetrate to
the bone and
into the soul
It's dreadful and
upsetting having to
lie every day
They are heavy
rocks
They keep you
on tenterhooks and
consume you
Sometimes they save
people from an
hard reality
The lies are
alarming and suffocating
They are my
favorite weapon to
use when I
need
