Walking The Floor Poem by Ima Ryma

Walking The Floor

Rating: 5.0

Wifey does mop the kitchen floor,
Tells hubby not to walk across.
Hubby walks, chooses to ignore.
Wifey shoots hubby, no big loss,
Laying there on the wet floor dead.
Time had come that his tracking stops.
Wifey remops where hubby bled.
And then wifey does call the cops.
The cops come, waiting outside and
Delay making the arrest task.
Their captain does not understand,
And approaches the cops to ask,

'Why has no arrest been made yet? '
'Because the kitchen floor's still wet.'
