Wanderer Of The Mind Poem by Refiloe Mokoena

Wanderer Of The Mind

My mind is a wonderer, always out of place
It thinks of places I can never name
I was named but it doesn't describe me
The 'me' that I let people see
It's unbelievable how they think it's real
Unbelievable how fake we've become
We can't even tell apart hate and love
Love and hate, a very thin line between
The line that throws us into a trap that's deep.
Deeper than the ocean but who's been there?
I may have been only because my thoughts take me there.
Thoughts that wander around
Wander in one place as if they're spell bound.
Spell bound is the human infested world that we call home
A home that never exists, or is it the image of a home that makes us feel so alone?
Too good to be true it takes me to a dream.
A dream so perfect it makes me scream
I scream because this makes me realise
Realise that what's come to an end is my life.
