Wandering Through The Pages Of Time Poem by Mohammad Younus

Wandering Through The Pages Of Time

Wandering through the Pages of Time,
An amused look resting upon my placid face—
Immaculate Spirit!
That endures the ravages and rages,
The ceaseless push and pull of Time's turbulent river.

Amidst the ruins and long corridors of darkness,
My spirit venerates the Great Spirit,
Standing tall, bending on weary knees,
And prostrating upon the sacred ground.
For as the demons of nafs ravage and savage within,
I offer the precious prayers—
A balm to soothe the barren stretches of my soul.

The Prayer for Rain—
Soft drops upon the parched earth of my heart,
An elixir distilled from long-forgotten dreams,
Antidote to the day's silent yearning.
My soul listens, thirsting for the melody divine—
A song that drifts from realms unseen,
Tuning the discord of my being into harmony.

That melody!
It transfigures the serf into a king,
Cloaking the lowly in robes of light,
Crowning the weary with unseen gold.
Through each note, I am reshaped,
Until the echoes of the Eternal become my voice.
